Lobethal - A History of Brewing

Many local hills residents treasure the considerable history of Lobethal’s Old Woollen Mills, but not all are aware that the site on which the Old Mill now stands was once a brewery.

Visit the Lobethal Bierhaus and see our many displays (including a collection of photographs, assembled with the help of the Lobethal Heritage Association) describing the history of both brewing and the cultivation of hops, dating all the way back to the 1850’s.
